Briggs & Stratton Snapper Rear Engine Riding Mower

Briggs & Stratton, a Wisconsin manufacturer, has recalled six models of rear engine riding mowers. The affected mowers have a defective drive axle, which can lead to brake failure and put the rider at risk for injury.

The 8,500 recalled lawn mowers were priced between $1,300 and $2,000 and are red with a black fuel tank, seat, and steering wheel. They were sold between April 2014 and May 2014 at Family Farm stores, Power Equipment Direct, and Briggs & Stratton Snapper dealers throughout the U.S. Six model numbers are affected, and the model number can be found on the engine platform under the right side of the seat. (Find specific model numbers here.)

Two consumers have reported brake failure due to the defectively welded drive axle. Owners of recalled mowers should stop using the mower immediately and contact a Snapper service dealer for a free repair. Contact Briggs & Stratton Corporation at (800) 935-2967 or click here for more information.

Rejuvenation Hanging Lamps

Rejuvenation, a division of Williams-Sonoma, has recalled its Haleigh Wire Dome Pendant hanging lamps due to faulty cords.

The recalled lamps were sold in three finishes: lacquered polished brass, oil rubbed bronze, and polished nickel. The dome is made of solid brass with an attached wire and ceiling plate. The cord, which can vary in length from 14 inches to 200 inches, can fail to support the weight of the lamp, causing it to fall. The lamps were sold at Rejuvenation stores throughout the U.S. and on Rejuvenation.com between July and September 2014 for between $250 and $325.

Owners of the recalled lamps should clear the area underneath the lamps immediately, then contact Rejuvenation for a free repair or replacement of the lamps. Call Rejuvenation, Inc. at (888) 401-1900 or click here for more information.

Dimension Sling Fabric Café Sets

Dimension Industries Company Ltd., based in Taiwan, has recalled approximately 18,000 Sling Fabric Café sets because of a missing metal washer plate. The missing plate affects the stability of the chair, and the affected chairs pose a fall risk to consumers.

The recalled sets were sold exclusively at Costco Wholesale stores between December 2014 and May 2014. The sets, priced at $400, include two aluminum swivel chairs and a rectangular porcelain tile table. The chairs have brown stretched fabric seats and backs, aluminum arm rests, and a round aluminum base.

Owners of the recalled café should immediately stop using the chairs and contact Dimension Industries Company Ltd. for a free repair kit or full refund. Call Dimension at (800) 598-6532 or click here for more information.
