Michael Maggiano and Christopher DiGirolamo Named to BERGEN Magazine’s 2026 Top Lawyers List

Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi P.C. is proud to announce that founding partner Michael Maggiano and managing partner Christopher DiGirolamo have both been selected for BERGEN magazine’s 2026 Top Lawyers list in the field of personal injury.

The recognition is a peer-review honor. BERGEN magazine commissions Professional Research Services (PRS) of Troy, Michigan to survey hundreds of practicing, active lawyers across Bergen County, asking them to name the peers they consider the best in each specialty area and the ones they would turn to for a particular legal need. PRS then verifies with the New Jersey state bar that the attorneys receiving the highest vote totals in each category are active and practicing before the list is finalized. Inclusion cannot be purchased; it rests solely on an attorney’s standing among their peers.

That distinction matters to us. Being chosen by the lawyers who see your work up close — including the ones on the other side of the table — is a different kind of recognition than any application-based ranking.

About Michael Maggiano

Michael Maggiano has been trying cases since his admission to the New Jersey bar in 1974, the same year he opened the firm’s doors in Fort Lee. His practice centers on catastrophic injury litigation, with particular depth in traumatic brain injury and the biomechanics of how injuries occur, along with motor vehicle, trucking, bus, and rail collision cases. He previously served as president of the New Jersey chapter of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

About Christopher DiGirolamo

Christopher DiGirolamo joined the firm in 1992 and serves as managing partner. He practices in the state and federal courts of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is widely recognized for his work in workers’ compensation and the New Jersey State Government Employee Disability Act, and has secured substantial recoveries for clients injured on construction sites, by impaired drivers, and through other acts of negligence.
