Litigation Paralegal – Full Time (M-F)

Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Litigation Paralegal to join our personal injury law team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the demands of personal injury litigation and be committed to providing exceptional support to our attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain case files, including pleadings, medical records, expert reports, and client communications, utilizing our case management system, FileVine.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial preparation.
  • Coordinate discovery, including drafting subpoenas, managing responses, and preparing exhibits.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
  • Schedule and manage depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and gather case-related information as needed.
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other litigation support materials.
  • Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and ensure compliance with procedural rules.
  • Correspondence with Insurance companies and adjusters.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of full-time experience as a paralegal in a plaintiff’s injury law firm.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and adapt quickly to meet the needs of the firm.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and able to learn new programs quickly.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Korean speaking preferred.
  • Must be based near or in Bergen County to work.
