Christopher DiGirolamo Serves as Master of Ceremonies at Saddle River’s 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

On Friday, September 11, 2026, Managing Partner Christopher T. DiGirolamo joined residents, first responders, and local leaders at Memorial Park for the Borough of Saddle River’s September 11 Remembrance Ceremony, marking 25 years since the attacks. As Saddle River’s Council President, Chris served as Master of Ceremonies for the morning’s program.

The ceremony began at 8:20 a.m. Mayor Albert J. Kurpis gave the welcome, and the Saddle River Police and Fire Departments presented the colors. At 8:46 a.m., the moment the first tower was struck in 2001, the gathering paused for a moment of silence while the Memorial Bell rang. The program went on with the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation by Rev. Frank J. Fano, and remarks from Senator Holly T. Schepisi.

Chris then read the names of the three Saddle River residents who died on September 11, 2001: Joseph J. Berry, William R. Raub, and Robert Alan Zampieri. A second moment of remembrance followed at 9:03 a.m. Students from Wandell School shared reflections, Rev. Fano gave the benediction, and the ceremony closed with Taps, played by Ann E. Sirinides.

Everyone at Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi, P.C. is grateful to be part of a community that continues to honor those who were lost and to recognize the first responders and service members who answered the call. We thank the Borough of Saddle River and everyone who helped organize this year’s observance. May we never forget.
